Makar Yurchenko comeback to Moto3 with Marinelli Snipers
Makar Yurchenko, a Kazakhstani rider, signed a 2-year contract with Italian team Marinelli Snipers in Moto3 World Championship. A 20-year old rider will change his KTM in 2019 for a fast and very competitive Honda, with a wild-card at Grand-Prix of Malaysia, 4th of November.
Marinelli Snipers is one of the most competitive teams in the Moto3 World Championship. In 2004 its rider Andrea Dovizioso won Championship GP125, and last year Romano Fenati took the title of vice-champion in Moto3 class.
Makar Yurchenko: “It’s been some time that we’ve had discussion with Marinelli Snipers about season 2019 – even before leaving CIP. Marinelli is a really good experienced Italian team that always works for the result – in 2017 they took 2nd place in Moto3 World Championship with Romano Fenati. From now, I will be performing at Honda. This will be a completely new experience for me. Honda shows itself as a very competitive and fast bike, so my task is to get used to it as quickly as possible. There is no time to relax – we are going to have some test days in Spain and will head to Grand Prix of Malaysia to unveil our potential this year.”
