2nd line on the grid for Yurchenko at FIM Junior Moto3 in Le Mans

2nd stage of FIM Junior Moto3 Championship is held on 7th of May in Le Mans, France, together with the French Grand Prix MotoGP. Makar Yurchenko after showing a significant resistance during the qualification practice, starts the race from the 2nd line on the grid – 6th position for the young rider may challenge him to show the enchanting struggle for the podium with the strongest juniors of the world.

Bugatti Le Mans Circuit is one of the oldest tracks in the MotoGP calendar, with its unique history. Although for Makar Yurchenko this track has a special meaning – the pilot will start the engine on Le Mans Circuit for the second time in his career, after an accident that occurred with a young rider two years ago when Makar bumped his bike into the stalled bike of the Italian Davide Pizzoli on the starting grid. Both riders finished their races in the French hospital, Yurchenko – with fractures of both hands and other severe injuries.

However, such unlucky after-performance troubles didn’t prevent Yurchenko from catching up rapidly. Next season the rider have been already performing in the championship Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and finished the season on the 15th position in the overall standings. In 2015 he also got the titles of Russian Supermoto and Minimotard Champion. This season Yurchenko, along with the successful performances in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, shows the active struggle for the podium places in the FIM Junior Moto3. The first race of FIM Junior Moto3 Makar finished on the 4th position, and is not going to give up!

It is curious, but it is fact: the Italian “Dadda” Pizzoli, whose bike stalled on the grid at the French stage of the Campeonato de Velocidad Moto3 two years ago and appeared to be a kind of “living barrier” for Yurchenko on his way, today is a team-mate of Makar in the Alex Rins team Procercasa 42Motorsport.
